OK so we have a community name
I think we should come up with some material here. Not that I am being helpful by posting here and now but I figure a copy of the declaration of independence, followed by each of the key amendments each behind an LJ cut would be good for starters as well as a complement of research links for people to use while formulating opinions and/or arguing their points.

U.S. non-federal symbols, I'll work on getting us a banner graphic or two together.

I'm thinking we need a mascot, I have no idea what this should be but we should probably stick to the existing animal format that the two major parties have been using.
